portrait session with Erin!

Yesterday I had a portrait session with Erin--it was brilliant! We battled against insane heat (I think it was 92 degrees at one point!) and she was wonderful enough to climb on top of old trains and anything else that I asked. I really love the photos, and I have a few of them finished (you can see more at the website), so here are a couple:

Erin is in the process of building a portfolio for commercial modeling (direct quote: "I want to be in the Downy commercial! I want to be the girl posing with the Firestone tires!" Ha! I love it!), and I think she most definitely has a shot. I'm so glad I got to be part of this process with her.

Erin's Brother, Elton, is also a photographer. He's based out of Coral Springs, Florida, if you're interested. His work is beautiful!

I'll try to put a few more up when I have time--weekdays are always so busy for me, so we'll see how it goes.

wow!

Hello, hello!

I am so behind on my posting!

As I mentioned, I shot a wedding for Shani and Chandler on August 8. It was such a great ceremony! I really loved being there and being able to help make their wedding day remembered. My friend Whitney, from Photography by Whitney, came to the wedding to help me out. I am so grateful to her!

Here are a few photos of the couple after the ceremony:

Also! My husband spent the entire summer planning the event for our university that welcomes incoming freshmen & returning students, and he asked me to be the photographer for the event. These are a few photos of the bands that were playing:

With these photos I also have two announcements: the first is that I am now shooting bands, which is a completely exciting and new field for me to delve into. I love the idea of artists meeting and making art together, which is what I feel this venture will be. The second is that for the time being I am not booking any further weddings. I do have commitments to two weddings this year, and I will honor those and do my best, but I really want to take the time to learn the world of wedding photography as much as I can before I try to step into it fully.

I have quite a few shoots coming up (including my first official Blissed Out session with children! I am so excited!), so look forward to all of that.

Thanks for stopping by!

I had a very short photo session today with Ashley..it was going well, we were talking about our husbands and looooove, and then the sky opened up and tried to drown us! Or something like that. Here are a few of the images from the session, and hopefully soon I will have more!

I have to keep this short because I am incredibly tired. Soon I'll have a lot more to say! ;)
